Description

Top-down sports game with annoyingly bouncy characters. Slam into the ball and other players in 3 different game modes: football, bumpers (bump enemies into the goal), and dodgeball. Play at your chosen difficulty or spectate games of up to 256 AI players duking it out.

Reception

This project received a 1st mark for its physics system and AI behaviors.

Development

 This is a showcase of a physics system I created and shoehorned into a 1st year university project (also featured in the 2022 University of York Interactive Media Showcase). Built entirely in Processing, the project features extremely irritating sound effects beautifully complimented by the distortion of Processing's buggy sound library.  I coded bouncing and sliding physics with pixel-accurate collision to enable fun interactions between players.
